Winner of 1967 Chevy Camaro Announced
November 27, 2012 — Wave Land Services Incorporated of Eunice are the winners of a 1967 Chevy Camaro, fully restored to new with matching numbers. This vehicle was donated by Maxin Doucet and Tony Cook of Monster Heavy-Haulers. They also raffled off the choice of a fishing or hunting trip in Louisiana as well as a Benelli shotgun for second and third place prizes. All proceeds from the raffle benefit the Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth.
"It's something different. I don't think anybody's raffled off an older model car in a really long time, and the fact that it is fully restored with matching numbers grabs the attention of any car enthusiast."--Nicole Lopez--Development Coordinator for The Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth, Inc.
As expected, the raffle generated a lot of turnout with over 3,000 tickets being sold for the raffle. The second place winner of their choice of a hunting or fishing trip in Louisiana is Ricky Meche of Scott, and third place winner of a Benelli Shotgun is Lane Orion of Baton Rouge.
