Two roommates were found brutally attacked on McKinley Street, near the University of Lafayette campus.

Lafayette police report 20-year-old freshman Kenneth Donnely Jr. was found dead in an apartment. His roomate was left in critical condition. 

Investigators are still searching for a motive.
