Craig's List user robbed by 2 gunmen

On Wednesday, at approximately 2:00 am, a 32-year-old male victim of Youngsville drove to the 100-block of South Washington Street to meet a female he met on the website Craig’s List. When the victim arrived he was led to the rear of the residence by an unknown female. As the female entered the backyard she began running and two black males with handguns approached the victim. The victim was ordered to the ground and his vehicle keys were taken. The suspects took several items from the vehicle and then fled the scene. The victim flagged down a police officer approximately 10 minutes later. The victim was not injured during the incident.

On Thursday, at approximately 12:35 am, the victim, a 22 year old male of Carencro, drove to 550 Eraste Landry Road to meet a female he met on the website Craig’s List. When the victim arrived at the address he was approached by two black males with handguns and forced back into his vehicle. The suspects had the victim drive them to a nearby ATM where he parked his car. The victim then attempted to flee and was struck by one of the victims with the handgun. As the victim ran from the scene he heard two gunshots. The suspects fled the area, leaving the victims vehicle on the parking lot. The victim received minor injuries.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
