Saturday marked the end of the lieutenant governor's race. State officials have counted the ballots and as expected, a runoff will determine who will take the vacant seat. Republican Jay Darden and Democrat Caroline Fayard will faceoff November 2.

The 3rd Circuit Court judge seat also resulted in a runoff. Phyllis Katie and Buzz Durio will be on the ballot in November.
