Government pressures BP to deploy sensors

The government is now pressuring British Petroleum to deploy undersea sensors designed to better measure the amount of oil leaking in the gulf.

Currents are beginning to spread to crude miles away from the original spill and the numbers have grown significantly since the rig exploded last April.

Officials now speculate around 66 million gallons have polluted the ocean, but the uncapped spill leaves them uncertain.

The spill is now six times worse than the Exxon Valdez accident in 1989.
