Man arrested for allegedly robbing man at gunpoint

On Tuesday at approximately 10:30 p.m., Lafayette Police responded to 220 Wilkie Street regarding an armed robbery. The victim, a 21-year-old male, advised police that as he was entering his apartment a black male suspect approached him with a handgun and demanded money. The victim relinquished a computer and an I-phone to the suspect and the suspect fled the scene. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Officers investigating the incident were lead to the 600 block of the SE Evangeline Thruway where the suspect was located and arrested. Jeremy Andrew Broussard, 23, of Lafayette was arrested and charged with armed robbery. Officers also recovered and returned the property to the victim. The case remains under investigation.
