
On Tuesday at approximately 9:30 p.m., Lafayette police drove onto a private lot in the 3600 block of Moss Street and heard several gunshots in the area. A victim of the gunfire was located and discovered to have been shot in the leg. Officers were able to detain 2 suspects departing the scene in a vehicle. One of the suspects was found to be in possession of a handgun. The victim, a 26-year-old male of Lafayette, was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released. 22-year-old Terrance Sinegal of Carencro was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The investigation remains ongoing.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
