Police searching for 3 convenience store robbers

On Thursday at approximately 9:00 p.m., Lafayette Police responded to the convenience store in the 400 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway regarding an armed robbery. The victim, a female clerk, stated that a black male entered the store with a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes. Two other black male suspects entered the store and removed approximately 50 cartons of cigarettes in a trash bag. The three suspects were last seen fleeing behind the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and a trash bag full of cigarette cartons. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.

Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects captured on surveillance video. Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects is encouraged to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
