Teen arrested for alleged robbery

On Saturday at approximately 10:00 p.m., a 15-year-old male was walking near the area of Heather Oak Drive, when an older model maroon Pontiac stopped in front of him. A passenger in the vehicle opened the door and pointed a handgun at the victim demanding money. The suspect was given a small amount of cash and the suspect vehicle was last seen traveling towards the intersection of Ambassador Caffery and West Congress Street. The victim was not injured during the incident.

As a result of the investigation, Lafayette Police arrested 19-year-old Kendarius Mouton of Lafayette. Mouton was charged with armed robbery and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. The case remains under investigation.
