The city of Scott is officially going to a four-day work week after a city council vote.
Scott will do business from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. each Monday through Thursday.
Although there are some opposed to the idea, Mayor Hazel Myers says the city will save money by not having to open on Fridays.
Mayor Myers will soon turn over the city to incoming Mayor-elect Purvis Morrison. Morrison was previously a Lafayette city council member.
