Tropical Storm Warning - Tornado Watch till 10pm Saturday - Flood Watch through Sunday

The biggest threats to our area will be heavy rainfall that will cause flooding. Although the rain coverage has broken some tropical wind gusts are likely for tonight In addition the threat stays for fast developing Tornadoes through this evening and overnight. Coastal flooding, persistent winds will pile water along the coast. Water levels in Vermilion Bay and West Cote Blanche will rise as the storm is stationary just south of the Bays. This is a watch closely event since coastal flooding is hyper-local.

Plan for Tropical force wind gusts in Acadiana through tonight. The forecast track moves Lee first slowly north then northeast, once the turn starts picks up forward motion and clears our area and the weather improves Monday, this will happen quickly which by then will be welcomed. This storm continues to be a heavy rain maker for our entire area and flooding is likely. Posted below is a direct link to current and forecast river stages and crest information.
