Local fashion designer Anthony Ryan Auld is getting a second chance to make it work!

Lifetime announced that Auld will be among the contestants for Project Runway All Stars, which is set to air on Thursday, Oct. 25. The special 11-episode series gives the best designers from past seasons of Project Runway a second chance to make an impression on the runway.

“I was so shocked that I was picked,” Auld said. “It feels really good to get the second chance, because I think a lot of people felt like I like I should have gone further the first time.”

Auld was a contestant on Season 9 of the hit show. He made it far in the competition, but was unexpectedly voted off. Now, Auld will take to the runway again for the chance to show the world that he has what it takes to be on top.

“I had a lot more fun with it this time around than the last time,” Auld confessed. “The first time it was so stressful. This time, I kind of knew what to expect, so there weren’t as many surprises. I just went at it with the attitude that I’m going to have fun and enjoy myself, and I did!”

All Stars is a spin-off series from Project Runway and utilizes designers from past seasons. This will be the second season for the All Star series.

“The prizes are bigger. The challenges are harder. It’s a lot more work, but it’s a bigger payoff,” Auld explained. "It’s the same format as Project Runway except it has different judges and a different mentor and there’s no immunity with a win."

Auld is competing against former contestants Peach Carr (Season 8), Joshua McKinley (Season 9), Laura Kathleen (Season 9), Wendy Pepper (Season 1), Emilio Sosa (Season 7), Kayne Gillaspie (Season 3), Uli Herzner (Season 3), Suede Baum (Season 5), Althea Harper (Season 6), Ivy Higa (Season 8) and Casanova (Season 8).

Auld has already completed filming, but of course he couldn’t give any details about how it turned out. However, he did tell us that he’s hoping to coordinate a “watch party” at Perkins Rowe for the night of the premiere episode. We’ll let you know about those details when the date gets closer.
