Better Care For Veterans In South Louisiana One Step Closer To Becoming Reality

The fight to take better care of our veterans in South Louisiana is one step closer to becoming a reality.

Senator David Vitter, congressman Charles Boustany and congressman Jeff Landry along with the Veteran Coalition Of Acadiana which represents thirty thousand Vets and their families have been pleading with the U.S. Department Of Verans Affairs to build a VA super clinic a permanent clinic to serve vets in South :ouisiana.

Now all South Louisiana vets travel to Alexandria for most of their medical needs.

Today however was a step in the right direction with a pre bid conference for a large group of developers.

Bids from developers must be turned into the VA by August thirty first.

The new VA super clinic will be built in Lafayette and will have almost thirty thousand square feet
organziers are planning for a March two thousand fourteen completion.
