Drew Brees Apologizes

Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - 5:18pm

Saints Quarterback Drew Brees has apologized for throwing up a bounty program analogy today that caught a lot of people off guard.

Brees tweeted:

"If NFL fans were told that there were weapons of mass destruction enough times they'd believe it.

but what happens when you don't find any."???

That's clearly a comparison of the evidence in the case affecting his team to reasoning the Bush Adminstration made for the Iraq War.

The NFL just yesterday gave twelve reporters access to proof the program did exist like computer slides stating quote: "Now's the time to do our jobs and collect bounty money."

Four current and former players had their appeal hearings yesterday and none seemed happy with the outcome.
