Entergy sends workers to Northeast

Tuesday, October 30, 2012 - 6:50pm

Entergy sent out more than 300 employees so far from all over the state and 36 of those workers are from the southwest region which includes Lafayette Lake Charles and Jennings

Most employees sent include scouts to assess the damage and linemen to start putting everything back together customer service manager for Entergy's Lafayette Office Liz Duhon tells us Entergy is doing this because it is a mutual assistance.

Duhon explains that Entergy is sending two waves of help, the first wave got there last night and the second wave was sent this morning. She knows of many being in the Philadelphia area but says they will start to move around depending on what the need is.

Duhon would also like to remind people around Acadiana to be patient with Entergy because of the help sent to the east coast they will be short staffed. She assures that the work will get done it just might take a little longer.
