A Lafayette man is behind bars tonight charged with armed robbery, resisting arrest, 2 counts of attempted 1st degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property.
Lafayette police arrested 20-year-old Brandon Booth shortly after he robbed an area business.
This happened Sunday just before midnight.
According to employees at the business, Booth came in wearing a hooded sweat shirt, a mask and carrying a silver handgun.
Booth demanded money and when he got it he fled the scene.
Officers caught up with him about an hour later where he backed into two police cars and tried to run them down before he was finally arrested.
