Late night shooting leaves one man dead, another fighting for his life

 UPDATE: The deceased in last nights shooting has been identified as James Ray Mimms, 42. Mimms was shot in the neck and died at the scene. The other victim in this case remains in critical condition.


ORIGINAL: A late night shooting in the 2500 block of Thomas Delpit Drive has left one man dead, and another fighting for his life.

The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the shooting just after 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24. Detectives have told NBC33 that they’re not sure at this time who shot the men, and they’re still looking for any, and all information that could help them piece together this deadly incident.

The victims names have not yet been released in this case.
