There is new information tonight out of Assumption Parish near that giant sinkhole.
The police jury said a tremor was reported at the site.
It happened just after 9:00 last night.

Sources say the tremor was large enough for waves to be seen and are thought to have been about 500 meters deep.
There is still no word on any damages in the area.
