Suspects crash into house after chase with State Police

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 - 10:00am

State Police have one man in custody and are seeking two others after they fled from troopers and crashed their vehicle into a home in Lafayette Parish.

Officials tell us a trooper attempted a traffic stop at roughly 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24 on I-10 West near Mile post 119. The driver did not stop and attempted to out run police. They say the suspect exited the Interstate on LA 328 and eventually crashed into a home on Spanish Moss Road.

The trooper was able to apprehend one suspect at the scene, but two additional occupants of the vehicle managed to get away.

We’re told the vehicle was not registered to the suspect, but they couldn’t say whether it was stolen.

The investigation is ongoing and additional details are limited at this time. We will provide an update once one is available.
