Cajuns Baseball is back

The start of the 2009 season is less than three weeks away

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 - 5:27pm

The Ragin Cajun baseball team is back into the swing of things over at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field. The Cajuns last made it to the College World Series in 2000, and have their eyes set on making it back in ’09. I spent some time at practice this afternoon to find out what we can expect to see on the diamond this season.

For this story, I chatted with Scott Hawkins, UL’s senior first baseman, Randall Bulliard, UL’s sophomore closer and Tony Robichaux, the Cajuns’ head coach.

UL kicks off their season at home against the University of Nebraska on Friday, February 20th at 6:30 p.m.
