LOUISIANA - Old FEMA trailers went up on the auction block this weekend and hundreds showed up to buy a new home.

The auction is part of a strategy to generate funds to pay for the Lamar Dixon Expo.

Parish officials say they have about 400 trailers available. They date back from 2006 and they be can used from Texas to Missisippi.

Organizers say this is a chance for people to buy one of these trailers for cheap.

officials say the trailers are livabale, but they are not sure if Formaldehyde still remains inside.
