LOUISIANA - Thirty organizations across the state dedicated to teen pregnancy prevention and other community programs, will not see money from the state next year in an attempt to try and save the state money.
The organizations were getting money from the Department of Social Services for years, but that is ending next week.
Two million dollars were sent out to the YWCA, but only saw just under half.
A director there says she has been through funding cuts before and says it is just a matter of finding the money someplace else.
The Department of Social Services says the programs were set to run out in July, but were extended twice since then so organzations could start to find other ways of getting that money.
