The New Orleans Hornets basketball team has the Acadiana area buzzing.
The team is holding a week worth of training camp in Lafayette using the Ragin' Cajun indoor courts to practice.
UL's head basketball coach Robert Lee says, having a professional team practicing at the school is invaluable.
"I think it's doing so much for our school and really our basketball program," said Lee. "I mean, being able to tell recruits that the Hornets are here, and some of the recruits they really can't believe that the Hornets are practicing in our facility, and the chance for us to showcase what a great place we have to practice here."
This Saturday, the public can view an open Hornet's practice at the gym.
Tickets for the game were offered yesterday, and all 800 were handed out, compliments of the team.
