Robert Lee talks about Thursday's big matchup with Troy
Robert Lee's Ragin Cajun basketball team has a lot to play for.
With just two games left in the regular season, the UL head coach knows what is at stake. Win one of the two final games and UL would almost certainly host a first round game in the Sun Belt Conference tournament next Wednesday night at the Cajundome.
“It’s must win," Lee said, at his weekly press conference. "There’s no other way I can say it. We have to win this game tomorrow night. And that’s it. We don’t try to hide the obvious from our team. That’s the way it is and that’s it. We have to win so we just go out there and play but we have to win.”
Troy is the only team UL managed to beat on the road this season. Next to their respectable 9-5 mark at home this season the Cajuns' 1-12 record on the road looks even worse. UL hasn't posted a 1-win road record in a full season since 1994-95.
UL hosts Troy this Thursday before wrapping up the regular season on the road against Alabama-Little Rock Saturday night.
If the Cajuns win one of them...clear your calendar. Wednesday, March 4th, the postseason comes to town.
