New laws ring in the new year
LOUISIANA - Louisiana is ringing in the new year with several new laws, including one that gives you the right to know where your crawfish is coming from.
If asked, restaurants are now required to tell their customers if their mudbugs are homegrown or imported from foreign seas.
The law was passed not only to promote eating locally, but also for safety reasons. The bill is part of a larger public safety marketing campaign.
Governor Jindal encourages folks to buy state grown and caught seafood.
