Hear from the former Cajuns wideout about his day at the NFL Timing Day

Tuesday, March 17, 2009 - 1:00pm

Jason Chery blazed his way into the UL record books as a Cajuns wide receiver and special teams wizard.

But today, he tried to blaze his way onto an NFL roster.

Chery and a dozen or so other former Cajuns worked out for nearly two dozen scouts today at the Cajuns' indoor practice facility. Chery ran the 40-yard dash, caught passes and returned kicks.

Chery's speed could land him a very good special teams job in the NFL but Jason sees himself as more of a receiver that can return kicks. Chery says he's already heard from scouts with the Falcons and Seahawks among others.

After practice, Chery chatted with me about how he thought he did on the field.
