Top prosecutor will not take on phone tampering case

NEW ORLEANS - The top federal prosecutor in New Orleans will not take on the alleged phone tampering case at Senator Mary Landrieu's office.

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten has recused himself from the case.

Reason for Letten being taken off the investigation has not yet been given.

Four men are accused of trying to capture hidden footage in Senator Landrieu's New Orleans office

The men were trying to prove her staff ignored phone calls.
