Baton Rouge Capitol Senate Oks Measure To Let Military Men And Women Go To College After Serving In Military
the Baton Rouge Capitol senate said yes today to a measure that will help Louisiana Military men and women go to college.
Lawmakers want to give veterans the chance to earn their degree with state money by extending the window on when they can apply for the tops program.
If the current bill passes military men and women will be able to get Tops up to one year after their active duty service ends.
Right now the opportunity expires 5 years after a service member graduates high school.
The bill is now going to head to a House Committee for further debate.
