Higher Education Commissioner Sally Clausen is reducing her salary and refusing her car and housing allowances. In all, it's a $226,000 cut.
The decision comes as Louisiana colleges have cut 250 million dollars in the last year-and-a-half.
Some LSU students applaude the move, but say more needs to be done.
Clausen was set to earn $377,000 this year. After the cut, she will earn about $199,000.
