Several people have been arrested following a synthetic drug bust at two Lafayette head shops.

Brent Millet, Amanda Farris, Jean, Mary, and Eddie Plaisance Tamara Wilson and Giovanna Vercelli are all facing a list of charges including possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Narcotics.

Agents with the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force raided these people's homes after learning about the sale of synthetic weed at the Burnt and 2 Burnt stores.

Agents say they made undercover buys from both businesses even though the substances are supposed to be banned in Louisiana.

They say when they searched the owner's homes they found more fake weed and even some real weed.

No word on what's next for both burnt stores.
