Lafayette Helicopter Pilot Killed In Crash In Gulf Of Mexico

a Lafayette helicopter pilot was killed in a crash in the Gulf Of Mexico.

We're told Arturo Lebron's body was found after his aircraft crashed about 35 miles southwest of Grand Isle.

Lebron was the only person aboard the aircraft owned by Petroleum Helicopters Inc that's a Lafayette Compnay.

Unconfirmed reports say Lebron took off from Houma and was on his way to pick up oilfield workers near Terrebone Parish.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
