Some of the nation's best pro golfers are headed to town for the Chitimacha Louisiana open.

The pro's will be playing for 500 thousand dollars with 90 thousand going to the winner.

Right now everyone's eyes are on hole number eight at Le Triomphe because that's the site of the million dollar hole in one contest.

It'll benefit the animal rescue foundations and golfers are excited.

"I have absolutely no hope of winning it but i hope it saves a dog.
well anything to help an animal out, you know to help them survive and feed them i think is a good cause.
I go to the Louisiana open every year so i enjoy watching it, million dollar shot so it's a lot of fun.

About 200,000 dollars a year will go into the charities and different youth groups in the Acadiana area. What we do with the hole in one is just a small part of that. all of this money goes to help the animal rescue foundation but that's just one of the charities that the Louisiana open benefits. "

There's still time to qualify for this Sunday's million dollar hole in one.

You'll have to get to Le Triomphe tomorrow or Saturday.

The hole in one shoot is at three on Sunday at hole number eight.
