The Red Cross is continuing to help out people in the more than 12 hundred homes affected by severe flooding in South Louisiana.
More than 100 volunteers are handing out supplies to assist with the cleanup effort in Acadia, Saint Martin, Saint Landry, Lafayette and Vermillion Parishes.
They say it's been a team effort to try and help as many people as possible.
"Southern Baptists who are helping us at the shelter. we had come latter day saints folks in our kitchen helping us serve food and later in the day we're collaborating with the catholic charities over in that area to round out the feeding cycle"
The Red Cross says the next step will be assisting people with applying for aid and replacing documents lost during the flooding.
