Residents north of Interstate-ten just off highway 93 in the Ossun area say the rain brought the worst flooding they've ever seen.
People in that community claim their homes and cars would've been saved if their ditches and coulees were cleared.
“They asked us to donate two or three feet to the ditch so that it would help the drainage. we've done that and we still are flooded in. this is the worst it's ever been, i mean one more inch and our car is going to be flooded. as new business' come, then your new drainage comes, then your road repairs come but until then, we are just the forgotten people.”
A response from state and city parish officials will be coming soon.
