Wildlife And Fisheries Agents Arrest Man For Shooting One Too Many Turkeys
Wildlife and Fisheries Agents have arrested a man they say shot too many turkeys in the Atchafalaya Basin.
67 year old Ted Lewis from Pride was cited on opening day of turkey season on Jakes Bayou in Saint Martin Parish.
LDWF Agents say he shot two male turkeys, and the daily limit is one.
They also say the turkeys weren't tagged.
Lewis faces up to 90 days in jail and penalties of up to a thousand dollars.
He'll also have to pay over three thousand dollars in civil penalties.
LDWF agents say they're still investigating.
