2 Port Barre residents arrested for selling crystal meth

On March 10, 2014, Kaysie Miskell and Jason Leblanc, both of Port Barre, LA, were arrested by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives.

According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, the Narcotic Enforcement Team conducted several undercover operations on Miskell and LeBlanc for selling crystal meth from their residence in Port Barre.

Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena said, Miskell and Leblanc were both being charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, transaction involving proceeds from drug offenses and possession of a legend drug. 

In addition, Miskell is facing two counts of distribution of schedule I drugs. 

Seized during this investigation was approximately one half ounce of crystal meth, which holds a street value of approximately one thousand dollars. 

Both Miskell and Leblanc are being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail. Miskell currently has a bond of $55,250 and Leblanc’s bond is $17,750.
