232-HELP announcing new board of directors and executive committee
232-HELP--educational and referral center based in Acadiana
Lafayette, LA (KADN) — A new board of directors and executive committee have been announced to lead 232-HELP, and education and referral center based in Acadiana. The main objective of 232-HELP is to identify, catalogue, and better connect those who need social service support to providers of those services. The new board announced Rae Logan as the new executive director of the organization. She says this organization is so important to the ten parishes it serves because it deals with just about any issue a person can have.
"It exists primarily to help people who are in crisis return to healthy and productive lives, and to be healthy and productive citizens," says Rae Logan, executive director.
232-HELP assists people primarily by bringing you to the direct resource you need. It has given birth to more than thirty different nonprofit organizations including the Rape Crisis Center, the Child Protection Agency, the Community Health Clinic, The Epilepsy Support Group, and the Down Syndrome Foundation among many others.
