4.1 earthquake rocks small Texas town located near Louisiana border

A 4.1 earthquake rocked a small town in East Texas located near the Louisiana border.

According to the U.S. Geographical Survey the quake hit the town of Timpson shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2.

Timpson is located roughly 70 miles from the heart of downtown Shreveport.

No information was provided regarding the extent of possible damage.
