58-year-old man robs Circle K in New Iberia with knife
NEW IBERIA, LA (KADN) — A 58-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a convince store in New Iberia.
Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal said that 58-year-old Harold W. Parker robbed the Circle K Convenience Store in the 900 block of Jefferson Terrace Blvd at knifepoint, around 9:45 p.m. on June, 26.
Parker immediately ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Sheriff Ackal.
After hearing Parker’s description, a deputy on patrol, spotted and arrested Parker near the intersection of Lewis St. and Dale St.
Sheriff Ackal said “upon further investigation” deputies then determined Parker was the suspect responsible for robbing the Circle K.
Investigators recovered the knife Parker allegedly used in a nearby lot.
Parker was charged with Armed Robbery and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
