99 years without parole: Man admits to child molestation, pornography production
HOUMA, LA — A Houma man was sentenced to 99 years in prison today after pleading guilty to eight counts of molestation of a juvenile and 13 counts of production of child pornography.
Scott Thomas Massey, 35, was indicted last year by a Terrebonne Parish grand jury after investigators discovered that he had recorded videos of himself fondling numerous children under the age of 13 while they slept.
“This is a horrible thing for the families of the victims to have endured. Their courage and resolve are to be commended,” Assistant Attorney General Kurt Wall, said.
The judge also ordered that the entirety of his sentence be served without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
“Our highest priority is making certain that people who commit crimes against our children are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Attorney General Caldwell said.
