Another arson fire in Upper Lafayette

Four arson fires have burned through Upper Lafayette in less than 48 hours

In less than 48 hours four large arson fires have taken place in upper Lafayette. The latest one taking place this morning around 5:24am. Fire fighters were called out to the 100 block of North Washington Street to fight the blaze.

The home was under construction and vacant at the time, but was completely destroyed by the fire. KADN Fox 15 News has exclusive footage, shot by a neighbor, of the large fire. Lafayette Fire Department officials determined that fire originated in the interior of the home.

Although there is no definitive evidence that all four fires are linked they are some similarities.  No injuries or deaths have been reported in any of the fires. Fire and police department officials are asking anyone with information about the arson fires to come forward and call the police department or call 232-TIPS.
