
BREAUX BRIDGE, LA — Just days after concluding one investigation, the National Weather Service is headed back to Breaux Bridge after reports that a possible tornado caused damage to homes.
The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the damage was caused in a rural area of Breaux Bridge at roughly 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13. We’re told a barn of Harry Huval Road was completely destroyed, a trampoline was flipped onto power lines off LaFrenier Road and another report of minor damage to a home was reported on Huval Road.
The National Weather Service has been contacted and a team of investigators will confirm whether or not the damage was cause by a tornado or high winds.
A confirmed tornado hit Breaux Bridge on Thursday, Jan. 10 and caused damage to several homes and business.
