On The Political front here in Acadiana the race for the Third Congressional District has been pretty heated and for all the talks of a debate between frontrunners Charles Boustany and Jeff Landry that debate finally happened.
The candidates went head to head last night in the studio's of radio station KPEL fm in Lafayette.
The one hour showdown
was heated just a few days shy of the election.

Boustany :"I thought it was important that we debate all our issues and get all the rhetoric out of the way.

Landry: "They want to get back to the values that make this country great, the entrepreneurial spirit."

Boustany from Lafayette and Landry from New Iberia were forced into the same congressional district when Louisiana lost a house seat.
It happened after the 2010 U.S. Census showed slow growing population.
There are 3 other candidates in the race but the are the frontrunners.
