BATON ROUGE, LA (KADN) — A man has been arrested for scamming three local attorneys.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported on January 7, that Gregory James Edwards (32) was arrested and charged with three counts of Felony Theft.
Edwards allegedly scammed at least three area attorney offices out of money. He reportedly told the attorneys that he and been in a car crash, and the attorneys in turn gave Edwards a cash advance after signing a representation contract.
When the attorneys investigated the claim, they learned there had never been an accident.
Edwards was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
