Breaux Bridge man arrested for casino robbery

Cody Broussard, 29, of Breaux Bridge, LA, is facing Simple Robbery charges after he allegedly robbed the Cash Magic Casino on LA 94 in Breaux Bridge. Witnesses say he walked into the casino wearing dark colored pants, a blue shirt, and a black stocking cap then robbed the cashier and ran out of the front door.

Sheriff's Deputies from both Saint Martin Parish and Lafayette Parish began searching for the man captured on surveillance video, seen above. Investigators were able to identify Broussard by the picture. Several hours later, St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Cody Broussard at his home in Breaux Bridge, LA. Investigators say, he wasn't armed during the robbery, and they arrested him without incident. No one was injured. Broussard is in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
