Just two more weeks! And Cajun Field will be filled with great smells from all the bar bee que pits in the the tail gating area outside the football field.

While Coach Hudspeth and the Ragin Cajun football team get ready for the opening game, the workers over at Cajun Field are certainly busy as well, getting the end zone completed with six thousand additional seats, a brand new high definition scoreboard plus all the other add on's near the parking lot.

UL Athletic Director Scott Farmer says tickets are going fast for that first home game as well as the rest of the home schedule and he feels confident that the construction crew will be ready in two weeks for all the UL fans.

"If anyone just comes out here and just drives around the facility, you'll see just everything we have going on. Not just the end zone project, but we have some infrastructure work going on. " said Farmer.

"So trenches are being digger up all over the place. We have some new RV lots that we are creating there are some trenches and power being run out in the parking lot. So there is just stuff going on all over the place, and of course we are in the process of selling corporate tickets and sponsorships getting ready for the first game on August 30th. "

A sellout crowd will happen for the first game two weeks from tomorrow on Saturday August 30th as the Southern Jags come to town, then one week later on Sepetember 6th the Cajuns will host Louisiana Tech....Back to back home games at Cajun Field!

So, get your tickets now and let the tailgaiting and football action begin! Geaux Cajuns!
