Candidates square off in Third Congressional Race

Candidates in the race to become a US Representative in Third Congressional District squared off in Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Press Club hosted the debate. The Third Congressional District lines shifted after 2010 census. The new district includes from the Southern Louisiana Texas line into parts of Terrebonne and Lafouche Parish. It combines parts of former District 7 with the 3rd district. Republican candidates Jeff Landry of New Iberia, Bryan Barrilleaux of Lake Charles and Liberarian Jim Stark of Lake Charles.

They say this is the biggest issue for their area.
Republican Congressman Charles Boustany Junior of Lafayette, and Democrat Ron Richard Of Lake Charles did not attend due to scheduling conflicts.
