Over 80 of Lafayette's local restaurants are participating in the campaign going on from June 16-September 1
LAFAYETE (KADN) — In honor of the tenth anniversary of Eat Lafayette, Lafayette Travel hosted a press conference today to focus on the campaign's ten year impact of Lafayette tourism and the necessity of promoting locally-owned establishments.
"For over thirty years our food, our music, and our culture have been our brand. Food is a very big component of that, so Eat Lafayette is an investment in our prodect and our locally owned restaurants is our product," says Ben Berthelot, CEO of Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission.
This summer long celebration will be from June 16 to September 1, giving locally-owned restaurants the opportunity to showcase their unique dining experiences. More than eighty of Lafayette's local restaurants are participating in the campaign offering various specials throughout the summer to encourage everyone to Eat Lafayette.
