Crowley PD secures warrant for West 7th St murder suspect

Police are looking for a black man who killed a Crowley man on August 2, 2014.

Chief K.P. Gibson says police have an arrest warrant for Damaris Harmon, 21 who murdered Kenneth Drake after Harmon forced his way into Drake’s home, in the 1000 block of West 7th Street.

Harmon then drove away in a dark colored SUV.

Gibson describes Harmon as a black man with short hair, 6’3” tall, weighing 160 lbs, and should be considered armed and dangerous. His last known address is 415 West Andrus Drive.

When arrested, Harmon faces the charge of First Degree Murder.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crowley Police at 783-1234 or Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 789-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and can receive up to a $1,000 cash reward.
