Cycle Zydeco, also known as a traveling festival on bicycles, is in town and traveling around the Acadiana area.  Cycle Zydeco brings in cyclists from all over the country to the area.  For the first time, the event is being put on by TRAIL, a local non-profit organization that helps to restore and build infrastructure around local parks.  Participants will be traveling to different zydeco venues across Acadiana.

"Cycle Zydeco is about dancing, enjoying cajun culture, and cajun life.  These cyclists come in from all over the country to dance, eat, drink, and then happen to jump on a bike," says Scott Schilling, with the TRAIL organization.

Throughout the weekend, participants will be camping out in tents and filling up hotels across Acadiana.  Over 95% of the participants this year are from out-of-state with thirty-six states being represented.
